[HORIZON EUROPE] New EU calls launched in different disciplines
Several new calls and topics have been launched in the Funding and Tenders portal as part of the amendments of the 2023-2024 work programme.
** MISSIONS CLIMA, SOIL, CANCER, OCEAN **
Updated work programme for 2024 is available.
The Cities call will be launched in Sept. 2024, but the topics are already available in the work programme.
** CLUSTER 1 **
3 new Health calls launched with deadline to apply on 26 November 2024:
- HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-09-01: Horizon Europe 'Health': European Partnership: One Health Anti-Microbial Resistance
- HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-12-01: European partnership for pandemic preparedness
- HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-13-01: Implementation research for management of multiple long-term conditions in the context of non-communicable diseases (Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases - GACD)
** CLUSTER 2 **
The amended version of the Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society Work Programme has been published on the Funding and Tenders Portal.
The main changes are the addition of five call topics under the call - A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage:
- HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-01: A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage – Innovative tools for digitisation and analysis of dynamic processes, objects and complex combined data
- HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-02: A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage – Innovative tools for documenting, interlinking and organising data
- HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-03: A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage – Innovative tools for advanced data enrichment
- HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-04: A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage – Innovative tools for high-value interactions with visitors and heritage objects
- HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-05: A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage – Innovative tools for the study, conservation and restoration of heritage objects
These five call topics will open on 18 June 2024 and will close on 22 January 2025.
**CLUSTER 3**
In the amended Horizon Europe work programme, there are no major changes regarding the 2024 Cluster 3 calls that are expected to open in June 2024.
There are a few minor textual changes as well as slight amendments to the budget.

Main changes for Cluster 4 - Digital, Industry & Space:

- New topic HORIZON-CL4-2024-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-01 on quantum gravimetry with deadline 18/09/2024
- HORIZON-CL4-2024-DIGITAL-EMERGING-01-42 has a new deadline 18/09/2024 and is renamed to HORIZON-CL4-2024-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-02
- HORIZON-CL4-2024-DIGITAL-EMERGING-01-34 has new deadline 10/09/2024 and is renamed to HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-02-36
Destination 6
- New topic HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-02-35 on intellectual asset management with deadline 10/09/2024
- New topic HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-03-01 on large AI models with deadline 18/09/2024
- HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-01-06 has new deadline 18/09/2024 and lower budget and is renamed to HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-03-02
- HORIZON-CL4-2023-HUMAN-01-81 is called again with deadline 18/09/2024 and new ID HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-03-03
- HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-01-61 has a new deadline 18/09/2024 and is renamed to HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-03-04
** CLUSTER 5 **
The main changes for Cluster 5 - Climate, Energy & Mobility concern:
- Two new call topics have been included in the amended Cluster 5 Work Programme:
- HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-13: Support to the activities of the SET Plan Key Action area Renewable fuels and bioenergy
- HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-13: EU Member States/Associated countries research policy cooperation network to accelerate zero-emission road mobility (2ZERO Partnership)
- Changes have been made to the topic texts / topic conditions for the following call topics: HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-02-02; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-01; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-06; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-12; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-02-02; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-02-04; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-05; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-01; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-09
- Following topics have an increase of budget: HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01-04; HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-05
** CLUSTER 6 **
The main changes in the Cluster 6 work program are the addition of:
- HORIZON-CL6-2024-FARM2FORK-03 (5mio€)
- HORIZON-CL6-2024-CLIMATE-02 (28mio€). This includes an “open topic” Overcoming barriers and delivering innovative solutions to enable the green transition.
- HORIZON-CL6-2024-GOVERNANCE-02 (30m€)
- a number of direct action grants with an impact on the budget.
