[HORIZON EUROPE] Five cancer mission calls launched with one on implementation research

The 2022 Cancer Mission calls have been launched.

Five calls are open for submission as of May 24th with a deadline on Sept. 7th.

HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-01: Improving and upscaling primary prevention of cancer through implementation research (RIA - 3- 8 M€/project - ~10 proposals granted)

  • !! No clinical trials, no translation research, focus is purely on implementation research!!


HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-02: Strengthening research capacities of Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CSA – 10M€/project – 1 proposal granted)

HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-03: Pragmatic clinical trials to optimise treatments for patients with refractory cancers (RIA - 4 - 6 M€/project - ~10 proposals granted)

  • at least two projects that fully address cancer in children, adolescents or young adults (meaning people between birth and the age of 24) will be rewarded

HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-04: Towards the creation of a European Cancer Patient Digital Centre (CSA – 3M€/project – 1 proposal granted)

HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-05: Establishing of national cancer mission hubs and creation of network to support the Mission on Cancer (CSA – 3M€/project – 1 proposal granted)

The Belgian Health NCPs for Horizon Europe are organising an Info Session on the EU Mission on Cancer (June 14th – 9h30-11h30). The webinar is exclusively open to stakeholders located in Belgium. It includes a presentation on the upcoming Cancer Mission calls for proposals (Work Programme 2022) by the European Commission.
