[ERASMUS+][EU] Erasmus+ oproep tot projectvoorstellen 2024 gelanceerd | Erasmus+ call for proposals 2024 launched
Recent publiceerde de Europese Commissie de nieuwe oproep tot projectvoorstellen voor het jaar 2024 in het kader van het Erasmus+ programma (2021-27).
Waarom deelnemen aan een Erasmus+ project?
Erasmus+ is het programma van de Europese Unie voor onderwijs, opleiding, jeugd en sport. Het programma focust op inclusie, digitalisering, duurzaamheid en burgerschap in alle onderwijssectoren. Deze beleidsprioriteiten zien zich weerspiegeld in de projectoproepen.
Onderwijsprojecten in transnationale context, zoals deze gefinancierd door het Erasmus+ programma, dragen bij tot innovatie in het onderwijs en tot de ontwikkeling van future-proof curricula. Verder bieden de projecten mogelijkheden om partnernetwerken te versterken, alsook om de maatschappelijke impact van onderzoek te verhogen.
Een waaier aan projectmogelijkheden
Voor de volledige Erasmus+-programmaperiode 2021-27 is €26,2 miljard voorzien. In deze vierde oproepronde wordt daaruit meer dan €4 miljard voor onderwijs en training voorzien. Naast de klassieke Kernactie 1 (de fysieke uitwisseling van studenten en personeel, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), en Virtual Exchanges), zijn de volgende projectmogelijkheden binnen Kernacties 2 en 3, en Jean Monnet het meest relevant met het oog op een deelname vanuit het hoger onderwijs. Hun focus varieert van kleinschalig tot grootschalig, binnen of buiten Europa, thematisch of breder.
De verschillende opportuniteiten worden hier opgelijst met hun respectievelijke deadlines:
- Jean Monnet Action and Networks – 01/02/2024 (bijdragen aan kennis rond EU beleid en integratie)
- Erasmus Mundus Action – 15/02/2024 (inclusief oproep voor ‘Design Measures’, activiteiten ter voorbereiding op het indienen van een volwaardig voorstel tot een Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme)
- Capacity Building in Higher Education – 08/02/2024 (samenwerking met derde landen)
- Cooperation Partnerships in the fields of (higher) education, training, youth and sport – 05/03/2024 (gericht op ontwikkeling en implementatie van innovatieve (onderwijs)praktijken)
- Alliances for Innovation – 07/03/2024 (onderwijsinnovatieprojecten die samenwerking met de industrie beogen)
- Centres of Vocational Excellence – 07/05/2024 (ondersteuning van hervormingen in de sector beroepsonderwijs en -opleiding)
- European Policy Experimentations – 04/06/2024 (ondersteuning van Europese beleidsontwikkeling rond onderwerpen als micro-credentials en digitalisering van het onderwijs, i.s.m. beleidsmakers)
- Erasmus+ Teacher Academies – 06/06/2024 (tot stand brengen van Europese partnerschappen van aanbieders van lerarenopleidingen)
Wie al enigszins vertrouwd was met het programma, zal de gekende projectmogelijkheden snel terugvinden. Bemerk evenwel dat een aantal deadlines deze keer vroeger vallen dan de voorbije jaren. Daarnaast maken de Erasmus+ Teacher Academies terug hun opwachting, na een jaar afwezigheid.

De aanvraagdocumenten behorende tot de ‘decentrale acties’ (bepaalde ‘Cooperation Partnerships’) zijn beschikbaar via het Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps platform.

The European Commission recently published the new call for project proposals for the year 2024 within the framework of the Erasmus + programme (2021-27).
Why participate in an Erasmus+ project?
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. The Erasmus+ programme focuses on inclusion, digitization, sustainability and citizenship in all education sectors. These policy priorities are reflected in the project calls.
Education projects in a transnational context, such as those funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, have the potential to contribute to innovation in education and to the development of future-proof curricula. Projects further integrate Ghent University and its academics in international networks, and increase the societal value and impact of their research.
A range of project opportunities
€ 26.2 billion is planned for the entire Erasmus+ programme period 2021-27. In this fourth call, over €4 billion is provided for education and training. In addition to the classic Key Action 1 (the physical exchange of students and staff, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), and Virtual Exchanges), the following project opportunities within Key Actions 2 and 3, and Jean Monnet are the most relevant in view of participation from higher education. Their focus ranges from small-scale to large scale, within or outside of Europe, thematic or broader.
The opportunities are listed below with their respective deadlines:
- Jean Monnet – 01/02/2024 (contribute to knowledge about EU policy and integration)
- Erasmus Mundus Action – 15/02/2024 (includes a call for ‘Design Measures’, i.e. activities in preparation of the submission of a full proposal for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme)
- Capacity Building in Higher Education – 08/02/2024 (cooperation with third countries)
- Cooperation partnerships in the fields of (higher) education, training, youth and sport – 05/03/2024 (aimed at developing and implementing innovative (education) practices)
- Alliances for Innovation – 07/03/2024 (innovation projects in education, in cooperation with industry)
- Centres of Vocational Excellence – 07/05/2024 (supporting reforms in the VET sector)
- European Policy Experimentations – 04/06/2024 (support to European policy development on topics such as micro-credentials and digital education, in cooperation with policy makers)
- Erasmus+ Teacher Academies – 06/06/2024 (set up European Partnerships of teacher education and training providers)
Those who are already familiar with the programme will quickly find their way among the different Actions. Please note however that a number of deadlines have been moved forward compared to previous years. Furthermore, the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies make their return, after last year’s absence.
