[Afrika][HORIZON EUROPE] Calls for proposals on Infectious Diseases in collaboration with African partners (EDCTP3)
EDCTP3 Partnership
The African and European Research partnership on infectious diseases launches over €220 million in funding opportunities for 2025.
The European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) focuses on the major infectious disease threats facing sub-Saharan Africa.
The Global Health EDCTP3 Work Programme 2025 has been published.
Research topics
- Vaccines against TB
- Malaria therapeutics,
- vaccines against Neglected Tropical Diseases,
- Strategic training hubs for fellowships in public health (training in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Modelling)
- strengthening the Regional Networks of Excellence and Epidemic Preparedness (CSA)
- Tackling diarrhoeal diseases in the context of climate and health transformative innovations
- Transformative Innovations for improvements in the uptake, adherence or implementation of preventative/treatment/diagnostic solutions
Indicative timeframe
The calls for proposals will open in late January 2025.
- Interested consortia are invited to submit a short proposal by March 2025 (first stage).
- Successful consortia will then be invited to submit a full proposal by September 2025 (second stage).
