[HORIZON EUROPE] ERC Advanced Grant call 2025 is now open!

Call for proposals

Who should apply?

The call is open to established research leaders of any nationality and from any field of research (bottom-up approach), with a recognized track-record of research achievements. There is no minimum or maximum age limit.

  • The amount of the grant is up to € 2.5 million for 5 years
  • However, an additional € 1 million can be made available to cover eligible “start-up” costs for researchers moving from a third country to the EU or an associated country and/or the purchase of major equipment and/or access to large facilities and/or other major experimental and field work costs.
  • This is a lump-sum call. Last year’s call was a pilot on the use of lump sum contribution and thus the following related resources could be useful for the time being: Q&A on lump sums and webinar on lump sums.

For applicants who don't have a 100% ZAP appointment at Ghent University at the time of submission, a departmental and faculty approval is mandatory, before submission.
