Your looking for an article, but the University Library does not have access to the full text. There are two ways you can find the full text after all:

1. Via a database
2. Via the bibliographical information

Via a database

If you're searching via a database, you can use the SFX button to go to the full text of the article. If Ghent University does not have access to the article, you can request an interlibrary loan (ILL) via this button. Here are some examples of what the SFX button looks like:

Google Scholar
PubMed

When you click on the SFX button, you arrive at a landing page. If Ghent University does not have access to the full text of the article, the only clickable link will be "Document delivery", as you can see here:

When you click that link, you are led back to the library catalogue. The request form is filled in for you. All you have to do is agree to the fee and send the request.

Your library staff will look for the article and you will receive an email with a link to a downloadable PDF.

Requesting an article from a different library is not free. Consult the prices here.

Requests made by Ghent University staff are billed to their department on a regular basis.

If your library staff can find the article for free, you will not be charged the ILL fee.
